Polymeric biomaterials (biopolymers) are materials which can be used within physiological environments over long or short periods of time. These properties allow their use for the replacement of various types of tissues. Polymers have made an impact on biomaterials research and medical practices and will continue to be the major workforce for biomaterials in the 21st century. In this session, we explore the latest polymer researches over various aspects of their biomedical applications.

Accordingly, fiberglass and other reinforced plastics, as well as bone, are viewed as composite materials, but alloys such as brass or metals such as steel with carbide particles are not. Session on: Biomimetic materials

Biomimetic materials are biomaterials developed using inspiration from nature. This may be useful in the design of composite materials. Natural structures have inspired and innovated human creations. In this session, biomimetic material fundamentals and applications are discussed.

Session on: Advanced materials

Advanced biomaterials can be defined in many ways. Biomaterials that represent advances over the traditional materials that have been used for years. Advanced biomaterials refer to all new materials and modifications to existing biomaterials to obtain superior performance in one or more characteristics that are critical for the application under consideration. In this session, we explore into the latest researches over the advanced biomaterials of their biomedical applications.

Session on: Nanomaterials

Nanomterials research takes a materials science-based approach to nanotechnology, leveraging advances in materials metrology and materials synthesis which have been developed in support of microfabrication research. Materials with the structure at the nanoscale often have unique optical, electronic, or mechanical properties. In this session, we discuss the implementation of nanotechnology in biomaterials research and their biomedical applications.

Session on: Biomaterials in Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine

Biomaterials play a major role in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. In this session, we explore into the latest biomaterials researches over various aspects of their applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

Session on: Biomaterials in Orthopaedics

Orthopedi biomaterials are meant to be implanted in the human body as constituents of devices that are designed to perform certain biological functions by substituting or repairing different tissues such as bone, cartilage or ligaments and tendons, and even by guiding bone repair when necessary. In this session, we explore into the latest biomaterials researches over various aspects of their applications in orthopedics.

Session on: Biomaterials in 3D Printing / Bioprinting

Most biomatial used in medical 3D printing technology, such as metals, ceramics, hard polymers, and composites, are stiff, and thus widely used for orthodontic applications. Soft polymers, including hydrogels, are widely used in bioprinting cells for tissue fabrication and organ fabrication. In this session, we explore into the latest researches over the biomaterials of their 3D printing/bioprinting applications.

Session on: Biomaterials in Implantology

Implantology is the branch of dentistry dedicated to dental implants. Dental materials are biomaterials which are specially fabricated and designed for use in dentistry. There are many different types of dental materials, and their characteristics vary according to their intended purpose. In this session, we explore the latest researches over the biomaterials of their various dental applications.

Session on: Biomechanics

Biomechanics principles emphasize cardiovascular biomechanics and musculoskeletal biomechanics. Biomaterials play an important role in the design of implants and surgical instrumentation for both cardiovascular applications and musculoskeletal applications. In this session, advanced design and fabrication techniques for polymeric biomaterial-based biophotonic devices and the applications of bioimaging, biosensing, & phototherapy using polymeric biomaterial-based biophotonics will be discussed.

Session on: Other applications of Biomaterials & Nanomaterials

In this session, we explore into the latest researches over the biomaterials and nanomaterials of their various applications in drug delivery systems (DDS), Ophthalmology, Wound healing, and Cancer Therapeutics.

Past Conference Report

We would like to thank all our wonderful keynotes, speakers, conference attendees, students, associations, media partners, exhibitors and guests for making Biomaterials 2018 a successful and splendid event.

Allied Academies hosted the International Conference on Biomaterials and Nanomaterials during October 22-23, 2018 at Mercure Hotel Kaiserhof Frankfurt City Center, Frankfurt, Germany with the theme “Imparting the Incredulous Applications of Biomaterials in Research & Industries”. Benevolent response and active participation were received from the Editorial Board Members of supporting International Journals as well as from the leading academic scientists, researchers, research scholars, students and leaders from the fields of Materials science and Robotics who made this event successful.

The conference was marked by the attendance of young and brilliant researchers, business delegates and talented student communities representing more than 28 countries, who have driven this event into the path of success. The conference highlighted through various sessions on current retroviral research.

Biomaterials witnessed an amalgamation of peerless speakers who enlightened the crowd with their knowledge and confabulated on various new-fangled topics related to the fields of Biomaterials, Materials Science, Nanomaterials, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

The conference proceedings were carried out through various Scientific-sessions and plenary lectures.
