Different Methods for Growth of Nanostructures
Nanomaterials have turned up as an remarkable class of materials that comprises of a broad spectrum of examples in the range of 1 to 100 nm with at least one dimension. Remarkably high surface areas can be attained through the rational design of nanomaterials. Nanomaterials can be produced with exceptional electrical, magnetic, catalytic, mechanical, optical properties that are considerably different from their bulk equivalents. The nanomaterial properties can be tuned as desired via accurately controlling the shape, size, synthesis conditions, and proper functionalization.
Numerous nanomaterial synthesis methods, involves bottom-up and top-down approaches will be discussed. The distinctive features of nanomaterials will be underlined throughout the session. This session describes advances in nanomaterials, especially fullerenes, carbon quantum dots, carbon nanotubes, carbon nanohorns, graphene, silicone, nanodiamonds, nanoporous materials, core–shell nanoparticles, 2D MOF nanosheets, boron nitride nanosheets, antimonene, MXenes, layered double hydroxides metal-based nanomaterials. Finally, we will end the session by discussing future perspectives and challenges relating to nanomaterials.
